Kimmy Bramble
My name is Kimmy Bramble! I am the 5th of 6 kids in my family and live in Provo, Utah born and raised. I have played soccer since I was 4 years old and have played about every position on the field including goalie, but my favorite is center midfielder. I love all sports and I also played basketball and softball on the high school varsity team since I was a freshman. My favorite thing besides being competitive on the field is to sing! I love music and was Cosette in the musical Les Miserables this summer and it was one of the funnest things I have ever done. I played basketball since I was in 3rd grade and always looked up to my older sister Mindy who played for Timpview and I wanted to be just like her, point guard and all; we even were both #10 in soccer and basketball. I’ve played softball since I was in 3rd grade and started on an accelerated team when I was in 5th grade.
I am going to Snow Junior College this fall to play softball and I am so excited for that opportunity. After I complete my two years at Snow I am planning to further my education at BYU and become an accountant/lawyer and someday hope to be involved in politics just like my daddy ( He is a senator in the Utah legislator). After I conquer the world like I plan to, I want to settle down and get married and have 8 children.
I am so grateful for this opportunity to go to Africa and really show girls that we as women can be successful. I have been taught to believe that I can do anything that I want to do in my life as long as I am determined. Like my favorite quote states, “Inspiration, hard work, and determination: this is what makes me the best in anything and everything I do.” I want to help relay these qualities to the girls in Uganda and show them the true meaning of “Girl Power”!
